LRC Recommendation on Child Labour Workshop with TU Leaders

Young trade union leaders from across sectors gathered for a dynamic workshop to address key recommendations from the Labour Reform Commission concerning child labour, forced labour, and modern slavery.

The workshop was held on 22 July 2025 in Dhaka with support from Mondiaal FNV. The event saw active engagement from youth and women trade union leaders across various industries.

Their collective voices are driving momentum toward a safer, fairer, and more equitable world of work.
The workshop focused on identifying urgent priorities for the trade union movement to eliminate Child Labour and outlining specific roles and actions to drive meaningful reform.

Participants collaboratively developed a Trade Union Action Plan aimed at ensuring that no worker, especially children and marginalized groups is left behind in the pursuit of decent work.
